As a private, nonprofit organization, the Literacy Council of Montgomery Council relies on support from private and corporate foundations, state and local government, individuals, and local community groups. Because of their generosity, we are able to provide free or low-cost services that meet the unique needs of our adult learners.
The LCMC serves over 1,000 adult learners each year in our tutoring programs with the help of hundreds of volunteers. Our classroom-based programs serve an additional 300 – 400 students seeking more rigorous ESL instruction. A donation to the Literacy Council of Montgomery County is a sound investment. Your gift will make it possible for us to continue to offer high quality literacy programs in the future. All donations are tax-deductible.
