Planned Giving

Planned giving is a charitable contribution, immediate or deferred, that permits Investor/Contributors to maximize the personal and tax benefits of their gifts. Including the Literacy Council of Montgomery County (LCMC) in your estate planning can help ensure that our work in the community continues in years to come.

If you’d like to include the LCMC in your planning, there are ways to give which benefit both LCMC and your estate. Some of your options include a living trust, bequest in will, real estate gift, retained life estate, charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable remainder unitrust, and pooled income funds. Talk to your financial advisor to learn more about your options, which may also include Memorial Giving; Stocks and Securities.

We welcome confidential inquiries from you and your financial advisors, and encourage you to contact us so that we may fully understand how you wish your gift to be designated. Please contact Gabriel Martinez Cabrera, Executive Director, at or (301) 610-0030, ext. 202 for more information.
