VOLUNTEER for the LCMC

The LCMC relies on volunteers to carry out most of our services. In fact, we’re one of the largest volunteer-based organizations in Montgomery County! Our volunteers donate over 40,000 hours of service annually. The LCMC offers a wide variety of volunteer jobs:

Tutoring Program Volunteers

Each year over 600 volunteer tutors provide ESL and Basic Literacy tutoring to more than 1000 adult learners, teaching small groups or one-on-one. Tutors meet with their students 2 hours per week, at a location close to their home or work.
