EFDL Curriculum and Lesson Planning for EFDL Teachers
The eight classes in the fall EFDL course focus on basic communication and consumer economics. The eight spring classes highlight community resources, health, occupational knowledge and lifelong learning. Family literacy is encouraged through the availability of children’s books from a classroom lending library. Special topics are presented on parent-teacher conferences (fall) and school involvement (spring). At the end of the fall and spring courses, students plan their next steps for learning more English. Following are plans, materials and ideas to support the fall and spring course curricula.
